Manab Jyoti Saikia, Director Technical at Green Shade Consultants, He is EX-CGM AEGCL with 40 years of experience in the field of Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Substation Automation System (SAS) and Gas Insulated Substation (GIS). He was responsible for erecting of numerous 220V, 440V and 132KV T&D systems, commissioning of over 80 SAS and installation of 3 Gas Insulated Substations (GIS) across Assam. After his retirement from AEGCL in 2018 he was engaged as an adviser for various ongoing projects under ADB, WORLD BANK and EASTERN RAILWAY TRACTION SYSTEM. He has also completed the service at AERC (Assam Electricity Regulatory Commission) as a member CAC (Consumer Advisory Cell) recently.
He also successfully completed “The seismic assessment of power infrastructure in the area under the Guwahati Municipal Corporation”, a project assigned by Government of Assam to GeoHazard Society (GHS) as an adviser. Presently, he is a faculty member in NPTI (National Power Training Institute).
Mr. Saikia is a Bachelor’s of Engineering (B.E) in Electrical Engineerng.
